The play has many more functions for toddlers than for adults. For toddlers, play is not just a way to relax but it is also the best way to learn and perfect skills like walking, balance and controlling the hands. Through play, the child discovers the objects and their functions and learns some social behaviors.

For him, the play is similar to the work of the adult: the toddler imitates the work of his mother, father and grandparents. He repairs the car like his father and he cleans the house like his mother. His work “tool” is the toy. If for the little baby the toy is mostly a decorative object, for the toddler who is just starting to walk and talk, toys are absolutely necessary.

The parent must make sure to offer his child adequate toys to his age and skills level. The most indicated toddler toys are the functional ones, who develop and stimulate different processes and mental activities (knowledge, inventiveness, imagination).

Burdening a kid with extra knowledge even when his mind is not capable of handling it is the order of the day. Information technology today is playing a vital role in making learning easier for toddlers. The term “infotainment” is perhaps more appropriate.

Drastic changes have come forth in the learning process, wherein the grasping power of the child is enhanced many times over, since learning is also fun. A toddler learns his basics, like letters and counting, in an interactive way.

There are other adventure games just for entertainment, which harness a child’s energy and sharpen his reflexes for thinking and reacting. However, there are natural disadvantages, in that deviating from the traditional form of learning games like drawing and coloring books means diminishing and suppressing the natural talents of the child.

There is a natural proclivity in almost every child today to run to the computer and work. There have been innumerable instances of software programs being developed by child geniuses. The technological boom has paved the way for an industry where the major future players learn the tricks of the trade while still in diapers.

Playing toddler learning games on a PC gives toddlers plenty of opportunity for learning as well as fun ! Toddlers are naturally inquisitive and will love the challenge of learning how to use a mouse while they play all of those exciting games.

Also, playing toddler learning games on a PC engage children in several key aspects of development, of course the time spent on a computer for toddlers should be limited. They only have a short attention span so sessions of 5-10 minutes will be plenty to start with. As with all activities for this age group, moderation is the key.

Toddler Learning GamesSelecting the right PC games is very important for this age group. The PC games that toddlers play need to be suited to their attention span, brain development as well as their dexterity with a mouse.

There are plenty of kiddy websites out there but you only want the very best, preferably without advertising everywhere and easy for parents and kids to navigate – Knowledge Adventure by far is the best solution for my toddlers.

The time spent should be seen as valuable and relaxed time to enjoy with your toddler. Plenty of praise and encouragement will keep them involved and you can relish the chance to sit down - something that happens rarely when you are busy chasing a toddler around all day long :)
